The Avalon Hotel

The Avalon is located next door to The Ingleside Inn, and is where we’ll be hosting brunch on Saturday. If you have not received instruction from us otherwise, please reserve a room here. Most guests will be staying Friday & Saturday night, but we have held rooms for Thursday and Sunday night as well if you decide you want to make a long weekend of it. You can check rates, and book a room from our block HERE*

*Note* the booking link does not work on mobile, so book on your laptop.

The Ingleside Inn

We have assigned rooms to specific guests at the Ingleside Inn. You should have received an email from us with details, and instructions on how to confirm your reservation. If you did not receive an email, please book at The Avalon Hotel (info above) or other accommodation of your choosing. If you have any questions please email jasanddrewido@gmail.com.

The best time will be with the rest of us, but here are some other accommodation recommendations within 10 minutes of our hotel if for some reason you can’t stay with us: Airbnb ($ - $$$$), Sparrows Lodge ($$$), The Ace Hotel ($$), The Parker ($$$$), Holiday House ($$$), Kimpton Rowan ($$$), Colony Palms ($$$), ARRIVE ($$), Korakia Pensione ($$$), Alcazar Palm Springs ($$).
If you stay at accommodation other than The Avalon Hotel or Ingleside Inn, you can easily get to the hotels from anywhere in Palm Springs via Uber. If driving, there is readily available street parking and valet at both hotels.

Things to do in Palm Springs

Why did we pick Palm Springs? To be honest it was simply because Jasmine didn’t want to be cold on her wedding day. But now that we’ve been to visit a few times we’ve grown to love the little resort town, and hope you will too. Below are some great spots to check out if you have some free time.

Moorten Botanical Garden
Yes, you’ve seen this all over instagram. Ultra kitsch gardens filled with more than 3000 species of cactus desert-adapted plants.

Hiking in Palm Springs and Beyond
There are some great hikes nearby, just make sure to beat the heat: Tanquitz Canyon, Adreas Canyon, and Murray Canyon. The hotel will happily point you in the right direction. There is also the popular Palm Springs Aerial Tram.

Late Night Fun
To be honest, for us a late night at Palm Springs is midnight. 3 martini dinners end around then. There are some casinos that go late night, and The Ace Hotel is always the hot spot to be. During the wedding if you’re looking to go out Friday or Sunday, be sure to join our Facebook page, where we’ll share updates, and our late nighters will rally.

Our Favorite Restaurants (so far)
The Rooster & the Pig, FARM, Birba, and Melvyn’s (spoiler this is where our reception will be held) are all great dinner spots. The Barn Kitchen @ Sparrows Lodge has a beautiful garden which is great for a relaxing lunch.

Spas
Spas are a way of life in Palm Springs. The Avalon’s Estrella Spa is quaint with lots of options, and close to home. The Parker’s Yacht Club is impressive and well worth a visit if you have the time and aren’t looking to budget.

Cabazon Dinosaurs
We’ve never been, and it may be one of the most popular attractions in Palm Springs, but it already has a special place in our hearts. Dinos ROAR!
